Dr. Steinbrueck holds a Minnesota license as a clinical psychologist and earned a doctoral degree in psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in San Diego. Her background includes an APA-accredited internship at Hazelden Betty Ford and an APA-accredited fellowship with the United States Navy, both recognized for their exceptional training in the treatment of substance abuse and trauma.

Additionally, she is a proud member of the Minnesota Psychological Association, emphasizing ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards.

Over the past decade, Dr. Steinbrueck has had the privilege of working with diverse populations, addressing a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship concerns. Many of her clients have been fellow professionals, and she understands the unique stressors and challenges that come with demanding careers.

During her tenure as an active-duty psychologist, Dr. Steinbrueck was honored with the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for her role as a department head and staff psychologist. Leading a team of 17 staff members, she provided high-quality psychiatric and substance abuse care to over 1,000 patients. Her department achieved a highly successful Joint Commission survey, and she implemented a walk-in protocol that cared for over 2,000 patients in crisis, resulting in zero patient adverse outcomes and substantial cost savings of over $600,000.

Dr. Steinbrueck's dedication to evidence-based therapeutic interventions is unwavering, and she has received expert training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) through the Beck Institute. Her commitment to CBT is underscored by its proven effectiveness in achieving realistic therapeutic goals within a reasonable timeframe. She is also trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure, which she regularly applies when working with active-duty service members and as an outpatient civilian psychologist at North Memorial Hospital. She was a founding provider in North Memorial's Intensive Outpatient Trauma program and is trained in CBT-I for insomnia.
